FAQ: Door Supervisor / Security Guarding

Q. I want to get more information about the Door Supervisor course?

Door Supervisor is a 4 days training and the course fee is £150. We run the course every Thursday to Sunday starting from 9.30 to 18.30. After the training you will receive your certificate in 2-3 weeks and then you need to apply for a SIA badge which takes about 3 weeks. We can also assist you to apply for SIA Licence. SIA Licence fee is £220. Once you receive your badge you can work as a Door supervisor.

Q. How to book or register for the course?

The course fee is £150. In order to register for the course, you can pay a £50 deposit and the rest of the amount you can pay on the day of the course. You can book via our website or over the phone by dialling 02089802934. You can pay by using your debit or credit card via our secure payment system. After booking the course you will receive the payment receipt, joining instructions, course book (PDF format) and venue details to your email promptly.

Q. What does the course fee cover?

The course fee covers 4 days training, course book (PDF format), examination and certificate.

Q. Can I come to the office for registration?

We offer this course in different training venues in London. However, our head office is in Bow in case you wish to come to our office for registration. Generally, you can book the course at your nearest location and attend the training on your selected date.

Q. What is your pass rate?

Door Supervisor is a level 2 qualification; the examination is Multiple choice questions based, we will provide you course book and our friendly and dedicated trainer will provide you training. We are chasing a 100% pass rate!

What is the difference between a Door Supervisor and Security guard Licence?

Door Supervisor Licence will allow you to work in the Licenced premises. Licenced premises are authorised to sell alcohol. If you have a Door supervisor licence, you can work as a Security Guard as well, however if you have a Security Guard Licence, you will not be allowed to work in the licenced premises as a Door Supervisor.

Q. Do I need to have any previous experience to join this course?

You do not need to have any previous experience to do the Door Supervisor course. However, our experienced trainer will demonstrate you the real-life scenarios of a Door Supervisor or Security guard. This training with practical experience will boost your confident when you start working as a Door Supervisor.

Do you provide job support?

Q. When will I receive my result or certificate?

Normally we receive the result or certificate in 10-14 days from your exam date and we will inform you via email or SMS as soon as we receive your results or certificate.

Q. How can I collet my certificate?

You have the choice to collect the certificate physically from the training centre. We may post the certificate to you via recorded delivery upon request. We will retain your certificate for up to 8 weeks and we will not accept any liability if you fail to collect your certificate within the allocated period.

Q. What is the purpose of the Door Supervisor course?

If you want to work as a Dorr Supervisor or Security guard in the UK, you need to obtain a Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence. The requirement of SIA is that you must achieve the Level 2 Award in Door Supervision qualification to apply for a SIA licence.

Q. What if my course is cancelled?

You will receive a full refund If we cancel your course in a highly unlikely event.

I have committed an offence in the past, can I still apply for a licence?
